When your work product is text, it needs to be clean, accurate, and visually appealing. No matter who you are writing for or what your intent is, your spelling, grammar, organization, wording, content, and formatting must be reviewed and polished to make a significant impact on your audience. Typos, misspelled, and misused words are easy to miss but can easily damage your academic or business image. Getting another set of eyes on your writing is helpful, but having an expert review your work can be an invaluable investment. I have the education, training, and experience to be that expert for you.  Let me put that professional polish on all of your writing.

Copy editing is an in-depth review of your writing. In addition to correcting spelling and grammatical errors, I will review your work for clarity, consistency, style, and flow, ensuring your writing meets your objectives. I will make suggestions to perfect word choice and sentence structure.

  • Rates range between $0.035 per word ($35 per 1000 words) to $0.045 per word ($45.00 per 1000 words), depending on the length and complexity of your document.

Proofreading is the final check for typos and other small errors. When I review your work, you can be confident that your product is ready for submission.

  • Rates range between $0.0135 per word ($13.50 per 1000 words) to $0.016 per word ($16.00 per 1000 words), depending on the length and complexity of your document.

Formatting involves making your text look good on the page or the screen. Elements such as footnotes, references, and indexes can be tricky to get right. I will format your document to meet the requirements of your style guide (e.g., APA, MLA, CMOS, etc.) or your target publication. 

Document templates can increase your efficiency and help you to keep the quality of your work consistent, but finding the time to create and perfect them in your busy schedule can be difficult. I have experience in creating template documents that will save your business time and effort, allowing you to focus better on your clients' needs.
